When Vanessa filed for divorce on Friday she hinted that an act of “infidelity” was in fact to blame, and now we may know how she found out about the indiscretion. She heard it through the basketball wives grapevine.
According to TMZ.com, other NBA players told their wives about Kobe’s antics off the court and those same women gave Vanessa a heads-up about the affairs. This isn’t uncommon, says their source, who then goes on to say that many players make their wives swear to secrecy before telling them top secret information, but that trust is often broken.
It looks like Kobe had quite a few secrets to keep. Sources close to the couple told TMZ that Vanessa caught Kobe cheating “very recently” with “multiple women.” Kobe has yet to respond to any of these allegations, but as previously reported, has signed the divorce papers.
Kobe and Vanessa have already agreed on a financial settlement of which the terms have not yet been released publicly. Rumor has it Kobe’s worth close to $150 million and, without a prenuptial agreement in place, Vanessa should get, at least, half.
