“When creating the negative space trend, try a color with a slight shimmer as a base coat. It gives a more finished look.” Says Jin Soon Choi, founder of JINsoon.
“I love cream blush, it gives a fresh moisturized look with a hint of color,” says makeup artist Dani Fonseca. “Try using a lipstick as a cream blush.”
“Try mattifying parts of your face so the strobing shows up,” says Dominic Skinner, Senior makeup artist for MAC Cosmetics. “I like to mattifying the forehead and nose so the high points glow. It looks more effective.” For this look, Skinner used Gold Strobe Cream (available in winter 2016).
“It’s easier to make full hair flat, as opposed to flat hair full,” says Rafe Hardy, Creative Director of Sexy Hair. “When looking for more volume, try teasing the base first.”
