Actress Meagan Good appeared on The Real alongside HBO Insecure actor Jay Ellis, her co-star in the upcoming indie film, A Boy. A Girl. A Dream: Love on Election Night.
While on the talk show, Good dished to the four co-hosts about her future plans for expanding her family with husband DeVon Franklin.
“Imma take my time,” she said. “I had two monkeys a few years ago and now I have two hairless cats, so I’m kind of like a Never-never land person. So Imma wait.” She then seriously added, “You know, Imma take my time… I want ’em though.”
Good recently celebrated her fifth wedding anniversary with her husband —who’s a producer and preacher— by conquering her fear of heights with a romantic hot-air balloon ride. Still gushing, the Franklins have always been transparent about their relationship and goals as a couple.
“Being married is one of the most selfless things you can do if you do it the right way, especially as a husband [and] as a man,” Franklin told ESSENCE.
“So as much as her responsibility as a wife is to help me, sure, my number one thing is: How is she? How is her well-being? How is she feeling? How is her environment? What does she need? And, if I’m not doing that then I don’t care what’s going on in my life…”
