Argentina is getting browner with the population of Africans and those of African descent rapidly increasing in the South American country. It is now estimated that there are at least 5,000 Africans from at least 29 countries in Argentina, according to The Global Post. Senegal, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Ghana are topping the list. Africans can now be seen in Buenos Aires and a few other Argentine cities. However, Argentina has long fashioned itself as a European country and many natives feel this self-image is unlikely to change soon no matter the number of immigrants making their home there.–BB
