The singer fell when her toe became tangled in the shoe while she was on the road in Dallas promoting her album, “A Woman Falling Out of Love.”
It “hurt like heck for a minute, but seemed to subside,” Franklin’s rep told People.com.
Despite the injury, Franklin is taking a look at the bright side. “I’m so grateful it wasn’t my right piano [pedal] foot,” she said. She also joked, “How am I supposed to match my new Marc Jacobs gown with this wooden blue hospital shoe?”
