The legendary Harlem venue is preparing to honor MJ on the 7th anniversary of his untimely death.
As the seventh anniversary of Michael Jackson’s untimely death approaches, Harlem’s most legendary venue is preparing to honor his legacy by examining his massive impact on music, entertainment and pop culture.
Michael’s passing on June 25, 2009 left an undeniable void in the entertainment industry as a whole, but his fans, family and fellow musicians have continued to preserve his legacy through the celebration of his life’s work.
Apollo Live Wire: Bad/Dangerous/Invincible – Michael Jackson’s Epic Years will examine Michael’s influence on the arts, contributions to the culture and evolution into a pop superstar who left his mark as one of the greatest entertainers of our time through an introspective panel discussion.
The discussion will be led by Duke University Professor Of Black Popular Culture Mark Anthony Neal and is scheduled to take place on June 16 at the legendary Apollo Theater.
