Antoine Fuqua director of “Training Day” is working with NBC to develop a fresh take on homeland security, reports Variety.com. The project is called “ICE,” and it centers around the Immigration and Customs Enforcement divisions of Homeland Security. Fuqua will direct while Matthew Carnahan (FX’s “Dirt”) will write and create.
The script is said to include part of the post-9/11, Homeland Security overhaul and touches on issues from drugs, counterfeit money and stolen antiquities to weapons of mass destruction and slave trafficking. Fuqua is also currently working on an action film called “Brooklyn’s Finest.”
