Angela Bassett is in final negotiations to play a CIA boss on a new teen spy drama.
If you miss seeing actress Angela Bassett on prime time, you may be in for a treat soon.
The former Alias star is said to be in final negotiations to star in FOX’s yet-untitled new drama from the creater of the network’s hit series Bones, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The show is about a 14-year-old orphaned teen who teams up with a rogue assassin and learns to become an expert spy. If the deal goes through, Bassett will play CIA director Alice Vergas on the show, alongside Nip/Tuck star Julian McMahon.
This will be Bassett’s first time on a television series since she starred on ER in 2008-09, and her second time playing a top CIA agent. Are you looking forward to seeing Bassett take on a new role?
