Hip-hop vet turned actress Queen Latifah is officially back on the music scene. The New Jersey native’s first single, “Cue The Rain,” debuts today (May 19) on Latifah’s Web site, queenlatifah.com, according to XXLmag.com. The Queen is scheduled to drop her ninth studio album, “Persona”, on July 7th. The CoverGirl spokesperson will perform on the season finale of “American Idol” on Wednesday (May 20) alongside Lionel Richie and the Black Eyed Peas. –BB
