Former Sudanese refugee turned international supermodel Alex Wek has teamed up with diamond jeweler De Beers to promote the company’s new brand, The Forevermark Precious Collection, according to Women’s Wear Daily. The collection includes meticulously crafted jewellery designs by Wek and other notable celebrities and fashion insiders. Wek was inspired by using nature as her theme but was adamant about creating pieces that are realistic and wearable. DeBeers is also committed to mining in regions where communities benefit from precious stone production.—QS
