Tip #3: Strip Your Hair of The Dark Color

“If you have artificially dark color on your hair, you will need to first strip off some of the dark color to a red brown before applying the Marsala color over it,” says Papanikolas. Color cannot lighten previously colored hair, so it’s best to strip your hair of the color first.
