A Pew Research Center study released on April 30 found that one-fourth of voters in last year’s Presidential election were minorities with the highest turnout came from Black women, according to the Associated Press. African-Americans between 18 to 29-years old turned out the most over any other racial group. Analysts believe that the 15.9 million Blacks who voted were encouraged by Barack Obama’s campaign.-WLW
