This week, an Iowa Tea Party group created a Billboard comparing President Obama to Adolf Hitler and Vladimir Lenin. The Billboard reads: "Radical leaders prey on the fearful and nave." Throughout his term, Obama has faced a myriad of criticism that borders on the absurd, and leaves us scratching our heads. Here are ten of the most outrageous things that have been said about the 44th President of the United States. Here's what you had to say: Mahogany commented Facebook: "Racism hiding behind the "smoke and mirrors" of politics." Lisa wrote via Facebook: "I'm tired of the criticism. He did not make this mess but they want him to clean it up in a couple of months."

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid makes racially offensive remarks about Obama during his presidential campaign.Reid was quoted as saying Obama, as a Black candidate, could be successful thanks in part to his “light-skinned” appearance and speech “with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.”

A 2008 cover of The New Yorker depicts Michelle and then Democratic candidate Barack Obama as fist-bumping terrorists.The satirical cartoon cover titled “Politics of Fear” was called “tasteless and offensive” by the Obama camp.

Some school administrators chose not to show President Obama’s planned back-to-school speech for children after receiving pressure from conservative parents. Parents were convinced that “the president is going to use the opportunity to press a partisan political agenda on impressionable young minds.” However, in 1988 and 1991 President Ronald Regan and President George H.W. Bush respectively made similar speeches encouraging “impressionable young minds” to stay in school without receiving the controversial backlash Obama experienced in 2009.

In 2008, Republican presidential candidate, John McCain’s campaign accused then Senator Obama of “playing the race card” to bolster his electoral prospects. McCain campaign manager Rick Davis said: “Barack Obama has played the race card, and he played it from the bottom of the deck. It’s divisive, negative, shameful and wrong.”

The New York Post publishes a cartoon likening President Obama to a murdered chimpanzee while two police officers, guns in hand, stand over the slain chimp saying: “They’ll have to find someone else to write the next stimulus bill.”

Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele suggested at a Connecticut fundraiser that Afghanistan is “a war of Obama’s choosing” despite the fact that it began long before the president took office.

Dripping with sexism and prejudice, Fox Nation posts an Op-Ed which suggests that Obama is our “First Female President.” “He may be suffering a rhetorical-testosterone deficit when it comes to dealing with crises…” the Op-Ed said.

In 2008, former congresswoman Geraldine Ferraro states that Obama received preferential treatment “because he is a Black man”….Ferraro defended this statement saying: “If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position. And if he was a woman of any color, he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept.”
