We celebrate Mandela's birthday with his wise words that still carry weight in today's world.
Today we celebrate the late, great Nelson Mandela’s birthday. The anti-apartheid activist, politician and philanthropist served as the first native President of South Africa— after serving 27 years in prison for conspiring to overthrow the state. While he passed away in 2013, his words and acts are his legacy; and they’re even more relevant in today’s climate of political dissonance, corruption and racial prejudice.
We remember Nelson Mandela’s wisest words on what would have been his 99th birthday.
