Bio: Plaskett is an incumbent representing our Caribbean family in the United States Virgin Islands. She currently serves on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, the House Committee on Agriculture and the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. Infrastructure is important for Plaskett who has fought and pushed for improvements to critical infrastructure in the U.S. Virgin Islands, as well as the development around the economically depressed rural and urban areas of the islands. She also works to ensure that the federal government responds to the needs of citizens who have been hit by disaster. When Hurricanes Irma and Maria devastated the islands last year,
Plaskett announced a $6,479,880 million FEMA grant to help with rebuilding.
