Bio: Rep. Mia Love is the first Black female Republican to serve in Congress, and during her first two terms, she successfully pushed the secretary of veterans affairs to address the delayed payments that veterans receive. In addition to fighting for veterans’ rights, Love led investigative and legislative efforts to combat human trafficking as a member of the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Terrorism and Illicit Finance.
