St. Louis Rams defensive tackle Fred Robbins found his dream lady in PR consultant and event planner Tia Robbins. The two got hitched in a gorgeous wedding on May 23, 2009 at San Destin Golf & Beach Resort in Destin Florida.
Since it gets hot in Florida, guests were treated to bottles of water with cards that commemorated Tia and Fred’s big day.
“He’s been there for me through all of my ups and downs,” Tia says of her new husband. “Getting that emotional support, that’s when I knew he was the one.”
“I was so cool and calm that I even surprised myself,” Tia remembers of her wedding day. “It didn’t even hit me that I was getting married until my hair was getting done.”
Tia’s peep-toe bridal shoes add a little shine to her look.
A clever way to add a touch of blue — Tia had the souls of her bridal shoes bedazzled with the phrase “I Do.”
Tia’s bridesmaids carried this gorgeous bouquet of orchids and lilies down the aisle.
Tia found her ivory, hand-embroidered Pnina Tornai gown at Kleinfeld Bridal in New York City.
The touch of Swarovski crystals makes the beautiful bride shine.
When she started planning her wedding, Tia knew she would include the color purple. She loves these plum-toned gowns she chose for her bridesmaids. “I knew it would look good on any skin tone and I wanted all of them to look beautiful and feel comfortable and sexy.”
A sentimental guy, Fred had his cuff embroidered with his wedding day.
All eyes are on the bride as her father escorts her down the aisle.
“That was the most beautiful I had ever seen Tia,” Fred gushes.
Tia’s parents stand by their daughter’s side with heads bowed and eyes closed before giving her away to their new son-in-law.
Tia and Fred’s diamond wedding bands equal 20 karats of diamond, with the bride wearing 12-karats and the groom sporting eight.

After the ceremony, guests moved into this grand ballroom to welcome newlyweds Fred and Tia Robbins.
Tia and Fred danced in a group with their mothers and fathers to Franky Beverly and Maze’s “Before I Let Go.”

“It feels like a new relationship,” Tia says of married life. “But now we’re at a whole different level of understanding.”
A candy station brought out the kid in everyone at the Robbins’ wedding reception.
The Robbins’ wedding was catered by San Destin Golf and Beach Resort. Guests ate coconut marinated Mahi Mahi, spiced chicken breast with rum butter sauce, smoked pork ribs with mango BBQ sauce and more.
The five-tiered cake was also provided by San Destin Golf & Beach Resort.
Fred and Tia ate the top of the cake for their one year anniversary.
Fred’s good friend Bruce President serenaded the new couple to Tony Terry’s “With You,” as they held each other close for the first time as husband and wife.
Each guest received a hand rolled Cohiba cigar from a professional cigar roller.
“Fred does everything,” Tia gushes. “from running errands to helping me pick out something to wear. He’s just there for me.”
“Tia does the little things that I don’t feel like doing,” Fred says of his new wife. “She’s always there for support. She knows when I need to talk and when I need to be left alone.”
“It’s been an amazing journey so far,” the new wife sighs.
