We just love a summer love story that leads to a grand wedding affair. This is one of them. Desron and Marie both attended the same college, but were four years apart, so they never had a chance to meet. Thankfully, fate would give them another chance. The summer that Marie graduated, she bumped into Desron at a BBQ she attended with her sister and a friend. Magic was in the air. “Toward the end of the night, he came over to introduce himself,” she recalls. “The rest is history.”
The Next Step
Two years into a very happy relationship, Desron planned a special weekend in Philadelphia with Marie to celebrate their second anniversary. Marie’s a huge Beyoncé fan, so Desron had bought two tickets to the On The Run Tour. Before dinner they went to dinner with friends and he popped the question. “Desron gave me a glass plaque which had the Beyoncé tickets in it and folded in there was a note asking me if I would do him the honor of joining our households and being his wife,” Marie tells us. “As I was reading, he got down on one knee and pulled out a beautiful ring.” Aww!
