Share in the love of California Couple Peggy and Willie, who met in the elevator of their office building and said “I do” in a classic, romantic garden wedding two years later.
Peggy found her Pronovais wedding gown while on a PR trip in New York city. “I love Pronovais,” she tells us. “I’ve always been drawn to those dresses.”
Pale pink peep-toe shoes complemented Peggy’s pearl-toned wedding gown.
Peggy enlisted the help of Phoebe Ogan with Makeup by Phoebe to help her and her bridesmaids look their best on the big day.
Peggy walked down the aisle holding a lavish bouquet of white orchids and hydrangeas, gathered together by Joey Corrigan with Sticks and Stones Design Studio in Beverly Hills.
“I was excited and happy,” Peggy says of her emotions on her wedding day.
“He’s really smart and he’s athletic,” Peggy says of her new hubby. “That combination always intrigued me.”
Peggy and Willie’s two flower girls looked adorable in white gowns with sage sashes.
The couple walked down the aisle to the tunes of a live guitarist and saxophoniist.
Birdcages filled with flowers added to the romantic feeling of the wedding day.
Another fabulous garden accent — the walkway that Peggy and took to meet Willie was lined with a slightly tropical garland.
The young ring bearer took lots of care in carrying the couple’s wedding bands atop a bed of flowers.
The two agreed that they should have a short ceremony. They sealed their nuptials with a kiss and then the festivities began.
Peggy loves that Willie is “really down to earth and calm.” She credits him with balancing her out.
“I feel lucky that I waited until I found the absolute right person,” Willie tells us. “When she was coming down the aisle it just hit me that she was exactly what I wanted.”
“I always wanted to be with someone who could teach me something,” Peggy says. “We’ve just always had a lot to talk about.”
“Plus, he’s really good looking,” Peggy adds with a giggle.
Paper lanterns lit the couple’s garden reception area with an ethereal, soft white light.
Peggy and Willie couldn’t stop smiling as they danced to “Lucky” by Jason Mraz.
They couples exquisite vanilla-lemon-berry cake with a chocolate fondant icing and fresh orchids accents was crafted by Vanilla Bake Shop in Santa Monica, California.
Ribbons on the bride and groom’s labeled chairs and lots of white flowers add to the romantic feel of the wedding day.
White orchids stood tall on dining tables at the couple’s reception.
As the sun set and the moon rose over Peggy, Willie and their guests the party didn’t stop.
“I’m really looking forward to our partnership,” Willie says. “We have the same vision for what path we want our lives to take.”
“I’m looking forward to living our lives together and figuring stuff out together,” Peggy says. “And we definitely want to have kids.”
