Miami Dolphin wide receiver Brandon Marshall married his sweetheart Michi Nogami in a gorgeous wedding at the Art Deco Paris Theatre in Miami, Florida on Jul 17, 2010. Share their love.
Michi opted for bright red lips and smokey eyes for her wedding day look.
Michi designed her ideal wedding gown and enlisted “Project Runway” fourth-season winner Christian Siriano to make her dream dress a reality.
Siriano added a leather corset-like tie to the back of Michi’s gown.
Michi’s shoes were designed by Gucci and go with her rock ‘n’ roll-inspired style, made with a platform and metal details.
A leather garter and black nail polish completed Michi’s rock star wedding style.
Michi’s gorgeous bridal bouquet included exotic orchids and roses in various shades of pinks, reds and purples. The stems were held with a leather wrap.
“Brandon is so genuine,” Michi says. “His heart just makes me feel so secure.”
Brandon accented his slate gray suit with a red rose and a pink orchid.
Brandon made sure his lady was iced out on their wedding day.
“I knew Michi was the one,” Brandon says. “I’m excited to have her in my life.”
All of Brandon’s groomsmen looked sharp in gray suits with red roses on their left collars.
To go along with her rocker-chic theme, Michi’s bridesmaids wore silver cocktail dresses with black belts and platform shoes with stiletto heels from Christian Siriano.
“Watching her walk down the aisle, it was probably the best day of my life — and I’ve had some big days,” Brandon remembers.
At the altar, Brandon whispered to his bride, “You’re so beautiful.” Michi wiped a tear from her groom’s face. “I haven’t cried like that since I was a little baby,” Brandon laughs.
“I started crying myself,” Michi says.
Michi and Brandon read their own vows. Brandon said he wanted the words to come straight from his heart.
“[After we said our vows] there were smiles from ear to ear on both of our faces for the rest of the night,” Michi says. “My cheeks hurt.”
Ladies and gentlemen, say hello to Mr. and Mrs. Brandon and Michi Marshall.
“When I come home from work and I pull up in our driveway I get caught in awe of how blessed we are,” Brandon says. “To see how happy she is just makes it alright.”
“I think he’s gorgeous” Michi gushes about her new husband. “Brandon’s the first man that I’ve ever thought was drop dead gorgeous. When he smiles he can get anything he wants from me.”
The Art Deco Paris Theatre was all lit up in pink for the couple’s reception.
Black is Michi’s favorite color. The color made its way into every part of the wedding day, including the cake. The fresh orchids on the dessert are a great touch.
Michi changed into a cocktail dress for the reception. Her black, leather garter popped next to the white and Brandon couldn’t wait to slip it off.
Brandon surprised his new wife with a performance from R&B group Boyz II Men for their first dance.
“I’m looking forward to learning how to be married together,” Michi says of what’s next. “traveling together, growing together and eventually starting a family.”
