A Chance Encounter
When Southern belle Marquita’s job required her to relocate to the New York metro area she found herself starting over. She picked the perfect town, bought a new house, and made some great friends. When the Fourth of July came around she decided to throw a bash at her new place and invite her family and friends. Little did she know when she was making the guest list that one of her friend’s guests would wind up being her Mr. Right.
Love at First Sight
His name was Chris. When he walked into Marquita’s home their eyes immediately met, and just like that they were drawn to one another. ”From the moment we first said hello we never really stopped talking,” says Marquita. Despite an instant connection, the two, who’d come from two very different backgrounds, decided to pursue friendship first.
Undeniably Yours
The sparks they shared quickly ignited a passionate and loving relationship. “Whenever we were together there was a feeling of freedom and unlimited possibility,” Marquita tell us. A year after their first meeting, they began officially “dating”, although Marquita says, “The word dating does not capture our experience as best friends and soul mates.”
Let’s Do This
Ten blissful years later, on a sunny December morning, Chris woke up Marquita to tell her it was time “to go to Jared’s”, AKA ring shopping, right now! A dream wedding and “I dos” soon followed.
