When Lacy traveled from Los Angeles to North Carolina for a job interview, she was hoping to land a new gig — she never expected to land a hot husband, too. Eric popped the question on Halloween, and on August 13, 2011 they were married in a modern ceremony at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Seattle. Share their love!
Lacy paired her pretty curls with luscious lashes for a bridal makeup look that was both romantic and classic.
For her wedding flower color palette, Lacy went for a romantic feel, choosing tulips, dahlias, mini calla lilies, roses, ranunculus and orchids in pretty shades of pink and orange. A lovely arrangement indeed.
Like many brides, Lacy chose to rock a little hidden color beneath her wedding gown. Her pretty pink pumps were so fierce, fun and fabulous.
“My dress was designed by Brides by Demetrios,” says Lacy. “I found it the second time I went out looking. I wanted a dress that was figure flattering with a little bling.”
“The bridesmaids dresses were made by Watters Too,” says Lacy. “We searched a few months for them because I really wanted my girls to have a dress they could wear again.”
The groom and his groomsman found the looks they had in mind at a local Joseph A. Banks. “The overall look was meant to be classic and formal,” says Lacy. “We added an unexpected element of fun via the groom’s hot pink bowtie.”

The bridal party relaxed to the soothing sounds of live music while they prepped for the day’s events.
Lacy wore her grandmother’s ring as her “something old,” borrowed her aunt’s handkerchief to cover her “something borrowed” and checked off her dress and garter belt as her “new” and “blue” bridal items.
With matching wedding bands and their marriage license on hand, Lacy and Eric were just moments away from officially sealing the deal.
Lacy, Eric and their bridal party met up in downtown Seattle, just a few blocks from the Pan Pacific Hotel where the wedding was held, to shoot these chic portraits.
Lacy’s father was on hand to walk his daughter down the aisle. We just love how she looks at him — she’s a daddy’s girl!
The evening before their wedding, Lacy and Eric met up with their bridal party and immediate family for a formal rehearsal dinner at “Wild Ginger” :http://www.wildginger.net/.
“I knew Eric was ‘The One’ just a few months after we started dating,” says Lacy, who had to move across the country just four months after they started dating. As you can see, long distance love was a hurdle they successfully crossed.
A white ribbon kept guests off the couple’s white aisle runner to be sure it was untouched before it was time for all to rise for the bride.
Lacy and Eric bow their heads in prayer at the altar and receive blessings for their union and the next chapter in their lives together.

During their ceremony, Lacy, Eric and their parents lit a unity candle together to symbolize the merging of two families into one.

“I fell in love with Eric because of his love for Christ, passion for life, thoughtfulness and sensitivity,” admits Lacy.
Lacy and Eric put their personal touch on their guest book, displaying their engagement photos on the many pages.
“Originally, we set a budget,” explains Lacy. “However, as the planning process went on, we decided to focus more on what we liked and not so much on the cost.”
During their cocktail hour, Lacy and Eric served yummy passed hors d’oeuvres, like these delectable little sliders.

“I wanted the decor to be fun and to pop, yet still be elegant,” says Lacy. Pretty pink and orange Chinese lanterns hung from the trees to add a lively and happy element to their post-ceremony parties.

“My husband was very involved in the planning,” says Lacy. “I was traveling quite a bit on business and didn’t have a lot of time to do research. A good bit of the planning was done while I was living in Seattle and Eric was living in Raleigh.”
Not one to leave a details untouched, Lacy prepared lots of fun activities for her smallest guests and made sure her kids’ tables had a fancy feel too.
We told you the kids’ tables were a hit. Even the youngest guests had a ball on Lacy and Eric’s wedding day. The bubbles the little ones blew floated right onto the dance floor, making the mood that much more romantic.
“I loved the decor and the ambiance,” says Lacy. “It was also in a great location.”
The happy couple had one surprise after another in store for their guests. After the cocktail hour and wedding reception, Lacy and Eric treated everyone to a late night snack.
Although he probably should be headed to the candy bar and not the flower vases, this guest stole our hearts with those eyes.
“We saved money with the candy bar,” says Lacy. “We bought the candy and jars from a wholesaler. We wanted to make it consistent with our color theme.”
“We included candy reminiscent of our childhood years,” says Lacy. “We also had Resse’s Peanut Butter Cups as a nod to our new shared last name. We gave out little hot pink takeout boxes for guests to take their candy to go.”
“We had quite a few guests come from out of town who had not previously been to Seattle,” says Lacy. “I really wanted them to get a taste of all that the city had to offer.”
“There were no real wedding bloopers or mishaps,” Lacy brags. “We did run a little behind, but no one seemed to care.”
A live DJ from Sounds Unlimited kept the crowd on their feet.
Lacy and Eric joined their guests in the photo booth for fun shots using silly props — the perfect keepsake idea.
