On their first date Janae and Lance spent eight hours together talking. By the end of the night they knew they were the perfect match. Three years later they tied the knot in a stunning Seattle soiree at the Hotel 1000. Share their love.
Janae’s older sister and maid of honor Jameela styled her wedding day hair with big ringlets.
Her makeup was done by M.A.C. makeup artist Catina Gaines.
Janae and Lance’s primary wedding color was a rich dark brown. She added a pop of the color to her bridal bouquet to make it more dynamic.
Lane kept his NY Jets Jersey in his room while he got dressed.
A brown bowtie and a spritz of cologne completed Lance’s wedding style.
Janae’s wedding band will look fabulous next to her engagement ring.
Janae added a little shimmy to her bridal style with sparkley gold shoes that zipped up in the back.
Janae found her wedding gown at a boutique in Seattle. It was the last dress she tried on and slightly out of her budget, she says, but when she put it on she knew it was the one. “It was perfect,” she gushed. “The fit, the look, I love it!”
Wedding guests — and former Bridal Bliss-ers — Darryl and Tiffany Tap arrive at the wedding ceremony. Darryl and Lance both used to play for the Seahawks together. They both met their wives in Seattle.
“The whole experience just felt surreal to me,” Janae remembers. “Here I am finally marrying the love of my life. He looked amazing, of course.”
“I was very excited,” Lance adds. “She was looking gorgeous as ever, like she always does.”
The couple read traditional vows before lighting the unity candle to symbolize becoming one.

Janae has traveled around the country to be with Lance, moving to New York City and now to South Carolina.
“She was everything that I was looking for in a woman,” Lance says of his new wife. “She’s someone that I can see being the mother of my children.”
“He’s a leader and a builder,” Janae reveals of Lance. “He has a lot of qualities that I admire.”
Before everybody could really shake their groove thing, Janae’s sister Cyndrea Brown sang a song for the couple called “Warrior of Love” that she composed especially for them. “It was wonderful,” Janae remembers.

Janae blushed as Lance searched for her garter belt.
The couple’s wedding cake was created at Cakes by Creme De La Creme, a bakery in Renton, Washington. “We chose pink champagne with bavarian cream and fresh strawberries,” Janae tells us. Looks delicious, doesn’t it?
The Laurys enjoy a toast in their honor.
That night it seemed like all of the lights in Seattle were shining bright for lovebirds Janae and Lance.
“I’m looking forward to building a home together, building a family and just being really happy together” Janae says. From the look of that smile, these two are on the right track.
“I’m looking forward to having some kids and just enjoying life,” Lance adds. “We still have a lot of work to do.”
