What made Dominique’s wedding day pure perfection? “My best friend became my husband,” she told us.
The newlyweds enjoy a quiet moment together as they take in the love and beauty of their day.
The women, young and old, look on as Dominique hides out in her bridal suite and prepares for her big moment. To surprise their guests she entered the ceremony from the balcony while "At Last’ by Etta James played.
They met and fell in love through laughter and sharing so it was no surprise that Dominique and Terrel were all smiles on their wedding day.

As they head back down the aisle together, hand-in-hand, Terrel and Dominique are moved by the magic of the moment.
The littlest guest looks on in awe as the beautiful bride and gorgeous groom become one before their closest friends and family.
The couple wanted to be surrounded by love at the altar so they asked guests to sit around them in a circle during the ceremony, which was held at a historic club building that was once a social club for women in the 20s.
Overcome with emotion, the bride exchanges vows with her groom.
“I knew he was the one after one of our 24 hour gab sessions,” recalls Dominique. “I always knew that I cherished his friendship, but I knew then there was something more to this relationship.”
This stolen moment from the pair’s first dance could be a scene right from a movie screen. We feel the warmth of their love, can you?
The new Mr. and Mrs. sit pretty as their guests come to congratulate them and share in their joy.
“I felt like a silver screen siren in my dress,” recalls Dominique. She’s a vision of vintage chic perfection in this fitted ivory trumpet gown by La Sposa. At first she thought the gown might be too plain, then she put it on and “transformed it”.
Although the theme was vintage chic Dominique chose to skip a lot of the classic traditional elements like a veil, and something old, new, borrowed, or blue. But they made sure to jump the broom. “Terrel and I pieced the broom together ourselves for a custom, sentimental touch.”
Dominique chose a lace trimmed gown to match her vintage theme.
Some of the couple’s most memorable wedding moments happened at their reception. “We really let loose,” Dominique explains. “Groomsmen went wild, shoes came off, and hair came undone. We’ve been told we had the best dance party ever.”
“We can have so much fun, just the two of us,” the bride tells us. “We found out that we truly enjoy each other’s company.”
