After five years of bliss, Danielle and Taymond Cunningham from Baltimore, Maryland, tied the knot in a beautiful and colorful destination wedding in Riviera Maya, Mexico. Share their love.
Even on the beach, Danielle kept it classy in a pair of shimmery, stiletto bridal shoes. You better work, girl!
When he saw his bride on their wedding day, Taymond thought, “She’s gorgeous. She’s my princess getting ready to become my queen.”
“I was just amazed by how stunning she looked,” he reflects. “Everything was a first impression for me and I just took it all in.”
Taymond’s suit reflected the beauty and bright colors of Mexico, with an orange tie and ascot and an orange and cream paisley vest.
“His heart is so pure,” Danielle says of her new husband. “He is one of the most honest men I’ve ever known.”
Taymond and Danielle tied the knot at the Aventura Spa Palace in Riviera Maya, Mexico. The resort looks spectacular under the moonlight.
Danielle had eight bridesmaids accompany her down the aisle on her wedding day. The ladies wore fuchsia dresses from Bridal Fashions by Niko.
Danielle had so many amazing girlfriends support her on her wedding day she had to break them into two groups — bridesmaids and angels. The bridesmaids work fuchsia and the angels wore orange.
Taymond and his fellas added some new friends to the wedding party — two gorgeous parrots.
Danielle’s mother Diszell Williams walked her baby girl down the aisle to the sounds of “At Last” by Etta James.
The couple said traditional vows and then switched to something non-traditional. Danielle placed her hands in Taymond’s and his best man said, “These are the hands of your best friend, these are the hands of the mother of your children, these are the hands of your biggest supporter, etc.” Then the couple switched and Danielle’s maid of honor spoke about what Taymond’s hands mean to Danielle.
“I kissed that man, you hear me,” Danielle giggles about smooching her hubby on their wedding day. “Everybody was like, ‘Did you practice that one because you laid it on him.’”
“It was like the song that she walked down the aisle to — ‘At Last!’” Taymond says of finally being pronounced husband and wife. “It was the moment we had been waiting for.”
The two lovebirds take any chance they can to steal a smooch on their special day.
“When I walked down the aisle, I was so filled with joy that I did cry. I was right there in front of him and I was overwhelmed with happiness, not nervousness.”
Aventura Spa Palace catered the affair and also provided this gorgeous three-tiered cake, topped with the letter C for Cunningham.
Danielle and Taymond sat side-by-side in wedded bliss at their reception.
Danielle and Taymond’s wedding planner Candace Owens of Holy Matrimony Wedding Planners suggested the couple pop some festive shakers into their gift bags.
“She has one of the kindest hearts of anybody I’ve ever met,” Taymond says of his new wife. “She loves just as hard as I love.”
“He’s my soulmate. He has a love for God like I have a love for God. I really fell in love with his faith and his heart,” Danielle gushes.
“I’m looking forward to happily ever after with him. We just bought our first home and we’re looking forward to starting our own family together,” Danielle says.
“I’m looking forward to getting old together,” Taymond says. “I’m looking forward to adding pages to our story.”
After the wedding, Danielle and Taymond stayed in Riviera Maya for a few more days before hopping around Mexico to a few other beach resorts in Maroma Beach and in Cancun.
