The early risers were married in a 9am ceremony at the lovely St. Mary’s Chapel in uptown Charlotte. “Even though we started early we knew the people who got out of bed for us must love us a lot.”
To compliment the floral details on her gown Nicole chose a stunning pink and white flower for her hair.
How did Nicole know Manuel was The One? “I was totally blown away by how sweet, loving, and just awesome I thought he was,” she shares. “It was through all our late night heartfelt conversations to the wee morning hours that I knew he was the man I prayed for.”
For their wedding colors Nicole and Manuel chose a romantic palette of pink, greys, and ivory. On Manuel’s must-have list for wedding day attire? Skinny ties for all the groomsman and one, of course, for him.
The bride just had to include pretty peonies, her favorite flower, in the wedding decor. We just love Nicole’s stunning pink and white bouquet. The ribbon wrapped stems really complete the lovely look.
Nicole is so thankful for the love she’s found. “I constantly ask myself ‘how did I get so lucky to find such an amazing guy,’” says Nicole. “Manny is the sweetest most caring person I know.”
“While trying not to cry as I walked down the aisle, my bridal procession was being played by my two sons Roderick (clarinet) and Ramsey (flute),” Nicole shares.
“It was important to me to honor my deceased mother during the ceremony so I had a memorial bouquet made up to be carried in by my aunt and placed on the pew next to my father,” says Nicole.
One of Nicole’s most memorable wedding moments was the “look of adoration on my husband’s face as he held my hand at the altar and recited his vows to me.”
Nicole and Manuel say they were “co-collaborators” on planning their dream wedding day. Don’t they make an adorable looking team?

In search of a “simple but memorable” dress, Nicole fell in love with the third one she saw, this sexy and flirty short a-line dress with crystal and floral details.
The couple share love and laughs on the chapel stairs. Between the bad weather that morning in Charlotte and an unexpected road block Nicole almost didn’t make it to the church on time.
What was most important to Nicole and Manuel was that their wedding day be their own and not to let any one dictate how it would go. Clearly they were successful as they gave nothing but giant smiles throughout the day.

Manuel is not a huge cake fan so in lieu of cake they served mini cheesecakes stacked on a cake stand.
