Adora’s 2-year-old niece, Truly Adora Perez, was their flower girl – and a real showstopper, according to the bride. She wore a pretty floral halo and held a kissing ball of white and ivory flowers.
The new Mrs. and the little misses share some camera time.
For her big day, Adora chose a bridal bouquet made with white and ivory peonies (a bridal favorite!) ranunculus, roses, lilac, lisisanthus, sweet pea, gardenias, dahlias, anemones, mini cymbidium orchids, and scabiosa. Now that’s flower power!

Adora gets a helping hand from her bridesmaids when it comes time to slip into her gorgeous Maggie Satero strapless gown.
Beautiful bride Adora currently works as the press secretary to U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder.
The bridesmaids’ dresses were pretty and vibrant shades of pink and purple and designed by Alfred Sung. To complement their gowns, they carried robust bouquets of lavender flowers.
Nathan’s mother, Sherry Ann Jenkins, passed away after a long battle with breast cancer just a few months before their wedding day. To pay tribute to her, Adora had the florist secure a small, framed photo of her inside her bouquet and Nathan placed a photo under his tuxedo lapel. They also included a dedication to her in their wedding program and held an empty seat for her with a rose on it during their ceremony.
Adora’s father, Franklin Andy, proudly escorted his daughter down the aisle.
“My father is of the Ibo tribe from Nigeria, so we included a few things to honor my roots,” Adora tells us. “Most notably, during the marriage ceremony we took part in the Igbankwu, a traditional Ibo wine ceremony. In Igbanku the bride’s father pours a cup of wine and gives it to his daughter. The daughter takes a sip of wine and then finds her husband and offers him the cup. Once he drinks, they are married.”
Adora reads her vows to Nathan. In his, he told her he couldn’t have asked for a better woman and wife.
The deal is sealed!

“Our favorite memories are those of our friends and family dancing at the reception,” says Adora. “My girlfriends taught my aunts and uncles to do the wobble, my new husband and his Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity brothers brought back their college party walks and sang their fraternity anthem, and our flower girl showed us all the moves on the dance floor.”
