When Toya Wright heard “get dressed babe! We’re going out,” she didn’t expect anything as extravagant as what her boyfriend, Robert “Red” Rushing, pulled off this past weekend.
The reality TV star and author got wined and dined luxury-style and let her 6.7 million Instagram followers in on the action. The night started off with Wright thinking she and Rushing were just going to hang out somewhere in Atlanta, where they reside. To her surprise, her boo chartered a private jet to whisk them away to another city.
“My honey took me on a surprise date night last night,” Wright shared on Instagram. “I wasn’t expecting to get on a pj and fly to another city for date night. I thought we were going somewhere really chill in ATL.”
“Our date night turned into a weekend getaway,” she continued. “He had @therealnoigjeremy select some outfits for me and all. He really did that!! I love you Red!!! This was so sweet. ❤️ #justbecause#thankuGod.”
Aboard the jet, Wright and Rushing enjoyed dinner for two and got some quality time in before hopping off and enjoying the rest of their spontaneous getaway.
Wright and Rushing went public with their relationship in 2017 and welcomed their daughter, Reign Rushing, in February 2018.
In an exclusive clip from their VH1 reality show, T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle, Toya spoke about feeling open to getting married again.
“I’m ready to open my heart to Red,” Wright says. “It’s scary, but I also know it can be good. And with Red, I know it will.”
The couple also spoke of plans to have another child, which they hope might be a boy.
