Oh happy day! Another one of our favorite couples is about to walk down the aisle.
Toya Wright and her longtime beau Robert “Red” Rushing are officially engaged. The reality star let the world in on the amazing news via Instagram.
“Yes! Yes! And Yes!,” Wright captioned a photo giving us a sneak peek of her sparkling engagement ring. “For humbling my spirit, for restoring my faith in love, for raising the bar, for being all of what a man should be. For each of these and more I SAY YES!💍 looking forward to forever with you.”
While on Instagram live, Wright’s eldest daughter Reginae Carter appeared to be ecstatic that her mom is getting married.
Wright and Rushing, who shared a one-year-old daughter named Reign, have been dating since 2017. Throughout their relationship, Wright and Rushing have become partners in love and in business. They’ve successfully launched a weight loss program and product line called Weight No More, and have even purchased their first home together in Atlanta.
During an appearance on T.I. & Tiny: Friends and Family Hustle, Wright discussed the possibility of marriage in their future.
“I’m ready to open my heart to Red,” Wright said on camera. “It’s scary, but I also know it can be good. And with Red, I know it will.”
Wright was previously married to her childhood sweetheart Lil’ Wayne from 2004 to 2006. She then married producer Memphitz Wright from 2011 and filed for divorce in 2015.
