If there’s anything we love more than a themed party, its couples who nail a look together. Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert proved no one can pull off vintage quite like them as they show off the outfits they rocked at her mom Nikki Taylor’s ’60s themed birthday party.
The “Gonna Love Me” singer posted a series of photos of herself and hubby dressed to the nines. While Taylor was decked out in a flower swim cap, white oversized sunglasses, and a blush-colored swimsuit, Shumpert paid tribute to the era with shorter than usual shorts. His wife admits it was all her idea. “Iman was so mad at these shorts I made him wear for @nikkitaylor1234 aka Essie’s 60’s themed house party,” she shared on Instagram. “I personally liked them.”
Of course, Shumpert was a good sport about it and had fun with his wife’s styling choice. He was also amused that some folks pointed out his resemblance in Gucci Mane in these photos.
Not to be outdone, Ms. Nikki dressed true to the era with her hair in huge rollers and a string of pearls. “SCREAMINGGGGG Happy birthday to my favorite lady in the whole wide world,” Taylor wrote in tribute to the birthday girl. “I love you! Forever my heart, forever my world, forever my lady❤️ P.S. mom does not smoke… it’s just a vintage cig for her 60’s themed party!”
Taylor and Shumpert’s toddler Junie had fun with the theme as well. Her mini swim cap and sunglasses were unforgettable. Go ahead, little mama!
