For some more sunny days, head to the French Caribbean archipelago of Guadeloupe. Consisting of five islands, the colorful scenery provides the perfect backdrops for the ‘Gram. A day trip to Les Saintes can include a visit to Fort Napoleon to learn about the island’s history and you’ll have a perfect view of one of the most beautiful bays in the world, according to UNESCO. Another day’s excursion can include a trip to Grand-Terre to pick up spices and every flavor of rum imaginable at the Sainte-Anne Market. As for lodging, La Creole Beach Hotel is wallet friendly and has a pristine courtyard for relaxing by the water, but if you’ve got the coins and are traveling with a group, the villas and suites of La Toubana will have you feeling like royalty. Even if you ball out on the lodging, you can find a great flight deal, as budget airline carrier, Norwegian, offers many direct flights to Guadeloupe.

If your girlfriends group consists of those who want to unwind and some who want a bit of adventure, Costa Rica checks off both of those boxes. A hotel like Tabacon has the serenity of yoga classes, hot springs, and outdoor spa treatments. Located on 900 acres of a rainforest reserve at the base of Arenal volcano, this is truly the place to relax, relate, and release. But for your girls who want to get their heart pumping, there’s also horseback riding, ziplining, and more which the hotel can arrange.

Jetting to D.R. for relaxation is always a good idea. Flights tend to be super affordable and your overall travel experience becomes even more affordable when you stay at an all inclusive resort. But let’s be real, some inclusive resorts can feel seriously lacking and have watered down drinks. Instead, head to Paradisus in Punta Cana. Between the palm trees, flamingoes, pools, and pristine beach, you’ll have a hard time being dissatisfied. And perfect for a Galentine’s getaway, get the added on Royal Service package, which includes butler service, access to a private pool and beach with concierge service, and they’ll even run your bath water.

There’s a reason Nashville is one of the top destinations for bachelorette parties, so it’s naturally a fit for Galentine’s Day. If you plan on turning up, a stay at the Thompson hotel is a no-brainer. The rooftop bar is a hot destination for those who aren’t even staying at the hotel thanks to the good drinks, DJ, and welcoming vibe. The touristy Biscuit Love is right across the street and well worth the hype (get the bonuts, deep fried biscuit dough!). Also within walking distance is Adele’s, which is great for a group, or round everyone up and head to Helen’s Hot Chicken for some finger lickin’ food. As for entertainment? There’s no shortage of pub crawls and bus tours, but you gotta check out a few honky tonk bars on Broadway, which lights up like a mini Vegas at night. If you’ve never been to a honky tonk bar, you’ll be in for a treat. And the strip has tons of them, including the legendary Tootsies, so you can bounce from one to the next.

Yes, Colorado. Hear me out for a sec. Just outside of Aspen, Viceroy Snowmass is offering a Galentine’s Day Omakase package. You’ve probably heard of an omakase dining experience where the chef selects what courses you dine on. This particular package, the hotel plans your entire experience for you (meals and activities). So yeah, this isn’t for the control freaks in your crew, but it’s a unique experience for the friends who are down for an adventure. The Viceroy Snowmass experts may arrange everything from a hot air balloon ride to a private dessert making course to group spa treatments to a session with a professional photographer. It’s seriously something you and your girls will remember, but it doesn’t run cheap ($3,000 minimum for the group), so start that group chat now to make arrangements.

H-Town isn’t just the hometown of our beloved patron saint, Queen Bey, but it’s the place to gather your girls to take in the arts and of course, get some down home cooking. Located in the museum district, Black-owned restaurant, Lucille’s, is hosting a Champagne-themed Galentine’s Day dinner that includes five courses served by an all-male wait staff. Other yummy options that show off the city’s diversity include family style dining at Mala Sichuan Bistro (a James Beard nominated restaurant in the middle of a strip mall!) or Cowboys and Indians for a taste of Tex-In (as in Indian) food. To get a view of Houston that you’ve never seen before, take a boat tour on the Buffalo Bayou. Join a group or if you’ve got $500 to spare, a private chartered tour for up to 21 people is a pretty good deal. Finally, art lovers can happily spend hours at the Menil Collection which has thousands of pieces on display.

Virginia is for lovers and Richmond is certainly a fun, possibly unexpected, getaway for the girls. Just in time for Galentine’s Day, the city is rolling out a few specials you and your girls can’t miss. Opt for a stay in the downtown area at Quirk. The boutique hotel has the most adorable lobby and A1 service, also the Winter Warm Up special includes ten percent off and a $50 food and beverage credit. Resting your head at Quirk means you’ll be within walking distance to pretty much everything. Grab a cup of tea at Urban Hang Suite (yes, named after the Maxwell album!) and if you’re there on February 14, you can check out the Single in the City open mic and after you’ve worked up that appetite, take in some soul food at Mama J’s. Both are located in Jackson Ward, a historically black neighborhood that was once called the “Harlem of the South.” Finally, just a quick ride from downtown, there’s James River Cellars where you can indulge in a delectable combo. During Wine & Cupcake Week you can sample some of the best vino and booze-infused cupcakes.
