Monique knew Gennarro was The One for her when she introduced him to her mother and they got along as if they’d known each other their whole lives.
Doesn’t this shoot seem like it was a darn good time? We’re loving the couple’s homemade signs — they’re so proud to be in love and have each other and it shows.
“We realized through the years in order to move forward we had to accept one another’s differences,” says Monique. “In doing so he and I became stronger by making each other better.”
Let’s hear it for Team Jackson! The couple plan to tie the knot on March 3rd, 2012 in Orlando, Florida with a peacock themed ceremony and reception party.

When Gennarro and Monique got engaged they took photos of the ring on her fingers and posted hem on Facebook to share the news.

“What made my engagement so special to me was the fact that my family was involved in the process,” says Monique. “He know the importance of my family and the fact that they were there made me fall even more in love with him.”
“Planning a wedding can be overwhelming at times,” says Monique. “But we know it’s going to all be worth it in the end.”
When they’re not juggling the struggles of balancing careers and raising their 3-year-old son with no local family around to help out, Monique says she and Gennarro make a point of squeezing in date nights.
Monique says she had “no idea” her engagement was coming, but she’s so happy Gennarro popped the question. (Did you notice the couple are rocking Gennarro’s fraternity colors? Love the authenticity, you guys!)
As their big day nears Monique and Gennarro are all smiles!
