Sometimes your friends’ first reactions are spot on!

During the series premiere of ‘Single Ladies’ April (Charity Shea) was so consumed with the thrill of an affair she completely ignored the fact that her best friends’ were initially shocked and disappointed when she shared the news. They love her, so they didn’t judge, but their faces said it all. If only April had trusted their gut she might not have lost her husband.

Don’t force your friends to lie for you.

While April was out gallivanting with the mayor her husband was at Val’s shop innocently waiting for his wife. Poor Val was forced to lie to keep April from getting caught, but later when Darryl found out it ended up costing Val his friendship. Forcing your friends to do your dirty work never ends well. Handle your own business, always!

The more friends the merrier.

When new intern Christina popped into the shop looking for a job, love, and friendship, Val, Keisha, and April could have told her their circle was closed. Instead they gave her a chance to prove her worth then welcomed her friendship with open arms. New friendships come with new insight and experiences – be open to it.

Sisterhood brings you up when life brings you down.

All three girls suffered some serious heartbreak as the season began, but if you look at their smiles lately you’d never know it. Working together to get past the past Val, Keisha, and April are learning the benefits of true friendship and sisterhood.

Know when to just shut up and listen.

Keisha (LisaRaye McCoy) and Val (Stacey Dash) are closer than close, so it was no surprise she immediately had Val’s back when her ex Quinn tried to pop back into her life. When Quinn first broke Val’s heart, Keisha was supportive and patient, because she knew her friend needed to heal. Knowing when to speak your mind makes all the difference if you want to hold on to your friendship.
