Christmas is just around the corner, but Pusha T (real name Terrence Thornton) and his wife Virginia Williams already received the greatest gift they could want – the newlyweds are about to be parents!
The couple revealed the news on their Instagram this week with a creative announcement. An animated version of the couple is seen sitting in a sled surrounded by their pet dogs and tons of gifts. Williams is portrayed with an adorable baby bump. “Happy Holidays Baby T Coming Spring 2020” the photo reads.
The following photo in the slide shows the couple’s ultrasound photo with the words “Hi Mommy” scrawled across the top. Awww, how precious?!
Being the amazing lyricist that he is, Pusha T remixed Kanye West’s gospel track “Follow God” to celebrating the arrival of his first child.
He rapped, “The Franklin Saint that broke the bank/Shifting the culture they say I taint/I owe my tithes, the check is blank/Who are you to question how I show thanks?… Life goes on and babies born/And mine’s on the way, couldn’t wait to say it in song.”
The mama-to-be couldn’t be more thrilled, writing, “Finally landed my dream job ❤️…World, make way for BABY THORNTON! Arriving Gemini season 2020!! WE ARE OVER THE MOON!!!!!!!!!!!!”
The Daytona rapper and his longtime girlfriend got married in Virginia Beach on July 21, 2018 with celebrities like Kanye West and Pharrell Williams in attendance. The numbers 7/21 hold a special significance for the couple. “For whatever reason I see the number 721 almost everyday in crazy places,” Williams told Brides Magazine of their engagement. “On 7/21/16, Terrence had me believing he was in L.A., but popped up at our home in Bethesda. He told me to meet him on our rooftop terrace…when I did he was on one knee and asked me to marry him at 7:21 pm! I said yes!”
The baby news comes at a happy time in the couple’s life, as Williams just became her own boss! The entrepreneur recently left her career in corporate America to open her own wellness space called Get Well Soon.
