We know all about Stephen and Ayesha Curry, Lebron and Savannah James, and Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert but there’s a hot new power sports couple that may not be on your radar just yet.
Sloane Stephens, the winner of the 2017 US Open and Jozy Altidore, one of the U.S. Men’s National Soccer Team’s top players, are officially an item and they’re love is Instagram official. The two have known each other since they were only in the fifth grade, both growing up in Florida; but the two officially started dating in 2016.
Stephens, 25, and Altidore, 28 are both professional athletes with a clear understanding of the dedication and commitment it takes to succeed in the industry. This unique understanding happens to not only help them flourish in their perspective sports but also flourish as a couple.
“She is somebody who gets everything I am going through without having to say anything,” Altidore shared in USA Today.
Both Stephens and Altidore have experienced the highs and lows of their athletic careers, and their support for one another is evident. Just three months after the 2016 Olympics, Sloane suffered from a stress fracture, an injury that kept her out the game for 11 months. But it seems the optimism they share with each other is the glue to their love.
“I don’t think there’s been a more positive person, in my corner,” said Stephens.
The lovebirds have expressed their appreciation and support for one another multiple times and can be seen on Instagram giving us all the #Relationshipgoals and #fitnessgoals we could desire.
