The new must-watch summer series, inspired by the real-life love story of writer and creator Mara Brock Akil and her husband of 19 years and Black Lightning creator Salim Akil, has us hooked.
In this sneak peek of episode two, we get a look at a conversation between Nuri and her friend and co-worker, Angela, that reminds us of many a conversation we’ve all had with a homegirl once upon a time.
This week, viewers will get an intimate look at Yasir and Nuri’s first date, as they confess their love to each other but not before Nuri is tasked with making the hard choice between her job and the man wshe loves.
