It’s been one year since we lost the beautiful Kim Porter, and her loved ones are keeping her memory alive.
Diddy tributed his former love and mother to three of his children with a touching video montage in honor of her birthday. The never-before-seen clips included Porter’s precious moments with her children, good times with her friends, and footage from her past birthday parties. “Words can’t explain how much we miss you but today is your birthday,” the mogul wrote. “We’re celebrating you today! We love and we miss you!!!!!”
Porter’s birthday was also celebrated with touching tributes from her children. Quincy, her eldest child, honored his mother with a video of her walking the runway at The Life Ball in 2012. “There was no one like her,” the 28-year-old writes. “I miss her more & more each day.”
Her son Christian Combs shared a heartwarming video with his mom as an infant. “Happy Birthday to the most beautiful and perfect woman in the whole world,” the up-and-coming artist writes. “Mommy I miss you and love you so much, can’t help but think about you every day.”
Diddy and Kim’s 12-year-old twin daughters, D’Lila Star and Jessie James, remembered their mom via their joint Instagram account. “I remember this photo like it was yesterday just like I will always remember everything about you,” read the touching caption.
In his May 2019 cover story with ESSENCE, Diddy gave more insight into the bond he and Porter had. “God sent her for me to teach me something,” he told editor dream hampton. “There’s levels and dimensions to love, and especially love between a man and woman. There’s this place that almost goes beyond friendship. It’s where two people actually feel like a level of responsibility to love this person forever; and a total trust.”
