And then there were 10!
Singer (more like vocal assassin) Keke Wyatt and her new husband Zachariah Darring shared the joyous news that they are expecting a child. This is their first child together, and Wyatt’s 10th. Though she recently appeared on the 2019 Black Music Honors red carpet with her baby bump on display, the expecting mommy made the official announcement with a stunning maternity shoot.
“My husband Zackariah Darring and I are so happy to announce that we are expecting our new bundle of joy!” she writes in the caption. “We are excited to welcome the 10th addition to our beautiful family.”
She continues by revealing that she’ll be letting cameras in on her pregnancy journey via her own web show. “Stay tuned for the release date & information for my new YouTube Series ‘The Keke Show’ where you will see me balancing Wife, Mommy and Artist!!! Trust me…it’s never a dull moment with my family. Love ya sugars!”
The gorgeous shoot, styled and photographed by Wyatt’s brother Keever West, show the mother-to-be in an assortment of stunning looks.
In April 2017, Wyatt spoke about balancing motherhood with her career in an interview with The Christian Post. She revealed to the publication that early on in her career at the age of 18, it was suggested to her that she terminate her first pregnancy.
“I had just gotten married and my career all in the same year,” she said. “The people I was working with tried to get me to get an abortion and I was like, ‘Excuse me!’ They were like, ‘It’s going to end your career.’ So, I gave birth and after I gave birth I was KeKe Wyatt.”
She went on to tell The Post that she feels a divine calling to being a mom. “I know it sounds funny, but I really think that it’s a gift of mine,” she said. “That’s one of my many gifts [and] talents. It can be difficult, but when you love something and are passionate about it, it’s not really that hard.”
