“I was instantly comfortable around him and I always felt calm,” says Tiffany of the years she spent getting to know Jelani. “It was almost as if something in me knew I belonged with him, but I couldn’t consciously recognize it.”
“He is the best man for me because he will not let me be mediocre,” says Tiffany. “He matches my drive and will get me together when I lose site of the goal.”
“My mom thinks Jelani is very respectful and my dad likes him because he doesn’t wear flashy shoes,” Tiffany shares.
“My friends think he is a great fit for me because he’s sarcastic, blunt, and corny just like I am,” jokes Tiffany.
“Tiffany has an amazingly diverse personality,” says Jelani. “It guarantees for never a dull moment.”
“Her commitment and loyalty to ‘us’ is what I fell in love with,” says Tiffany. “She truly understands what makes us both work individually and together.”
“I’m most looking forward to growth in every aspect of our life, individually and together,” says Jelani. “I am such a believer in the dynamic team we are, I can’t even imagine what is in our future together.”
“When we’re (finally!) husband and wife, I can’t wait to take over the world together or at least some small sect of it,” says Jelani. “He and I have plans!”
“I love lightning bugs and I believe they are impossible to catch by hand,” says Tiffany. “One evening, Jelani and I were strolling in the park, and I bet him a kiss that he could not catch a lightning bug in the dark. On his first try, he caught one and managed to not kill it.”
“I thank her parents for everything,” says Jelani. “They raised the perfect woman. She is everything I need her to be, and I am ever grateful for that. There are no words I can say that could adequately express how thankful I am for giving Tiffany, not only to me, but to this world.”

“I had a feeling that a proposal was nearing around the time I was graduating from graduate school,” says Tiffany. “I just didn’t know exactly when he was going to do it.”
“Since we love to watch movies all of the time, it is really hard to just pick one,” says Tiffany. “Our favorite at the moment would have to be The Great Gatsby. The inspiration for our wedding comes from that movie.”
Jelani and Tiffany dated for four years before he popped the question.
