College sweethearts Shavon, 26, and John, 26, met and fell in love while attending Norfolk State University. After three years together, John popped the question during a vacation while they cuddled on the beach. They’re planning to tie the knot on September 8, 2012 in Antigua. Share their love!
“John is loyal, fun and very intelligent,” says Shavon, when asked why she’s sure her man’s a keeper.
It took Shavon and John’s friend’s awhile to accept that the couple were inseparable and so in love, but Shavon says eventually they came around. “If you’re looking for us on a Friday night, we’re probably together at a bar,” she says.
“My parents are very happy and proud of the man I’ve chosen to spend a lifetime with,” Shavon tells us.
“I think John chose to marry me because I’m his dream girl,” says Shavon. “He’s the sweetest guy I’ve ever met. He always goes out of his way to open my car door. Everyone stares and some even compliment him.”
Shavon and John were both students at Norfolk State University when they met and fell in love. For a year he admired her from afar until he finally worked up the courage to approach her in a nearby mall.
“John got me exactly want I wanted, an antique cushion cut ring,” says Shavon.
“John does so much for me,” says bride-to-be Shavon.
