“My previous relationships were not great and they taught me many lessons about life, love, and waiting for the person that brings out the best in me (and vice versa),” says bride-to-be Jennifer. “Dating the wrong guys allowed me to fully appreciate the right one when he came along.”
“I’m not a believer in love at first sight, but from our very first date, I knew this was different,” says the bride-to-be.
The couple plan to host a fall wedding at a museum in downtown Baltimore.
“Hands down, the best gift he’s ever given me is my engagement ring,” says Jennifer. “In addition to being a gorgeous piece of jewelry, I love that it symbolizes the promise of our future together.”
“When looking into his eyes when as was down on one knee, my initial thoughts were about how confident he was when asking for my hand in marriage,” Jennifer reveals. “As I looked into his eyes, any outward evidence of nervousness was non-existent. He looked as if there was nothing more he wanted in the world at that moment than for me to be his wife.”
“We have an unmatched camaraderie with one another that allows us to be ourselves and fully enjoy each other’s company,” Jennifer gushes.
“I was raised by my mother, who passed away in 2008 and never had the opportunity to meet Preston,” Jennifer tells us. “I’m confident she would have absolutely loved him and would have welcomed him into our family with open arms.”
“There is no one I’d rather laugh, cry, travel, be vulnerable, create memories, and spend my life with than him,” she adds.
“When we’re (finally!) husband and wife, I can’t wait to change my last name and ask people to greet me by saying, ‘Heeeeey, Mrs. Carter!’ (channeling Beyoncé),” the bride tells us. Aww!
“If you’re spying on us on a Friday night, you’ll probably catch us cuddling on the couch and relaxing,” the bride-to-be says. “Friday is typically our night to unwind from a hectic week, so we tend to chill at home to rest up for a fun-filled weekend.”
“I fell in love with Jennifer’s sharp-witted spunk and caring demeanor,” Preston adds. “She is loyal towards her family and friends, which for me, is one of the most important qualities a woman can have.”
“I feel like I’m spoiled because in addition to being beautiful on the inside, he also has a pretty hot physique,” says Jennifer. “Preston is passionate about physical fitness and his body reflects his dedication to being healthy. I especially love his abs, arms and butt!”
“Jennifer’s selfless nature embodies what I am looking for in a wife,” says Preston. “She is giving of herself and her time and we possess similar outlooks on being benevolent towards others. Being with her is very comforting and she provides an environment that allows me to be completely open and always sees the best in me.”
“I look forward to being his wife, growing old together and sharing our memories with our future children and grandchildren,” says Jennifer.
“As our relationship continues to grow, I look forward to watching her dedication towards our marriage and our future family,” Preston shares. “I also fell in love with her adventurous spirit and love for travel which reflects her thirst for new life experiences.”
“When we met we had so many common interests and a similar sense of humor; conversation came so easy and I always looked forward to seeing him again,” Jennifer shares. “I’m an analytical person by nature and tend to listen to my head before my heart, but with Preston, both my head and heart were in-sync and being with him felt like this was always meant to be.”
