“Kamau not only understands me, but we fit so much into each other’s lives,” explains bride-to-be Mika, 31.
“I love that my future husband is hilarious and has such a positive spirit,” says Mika.
Mika loves being engaged to Kamau. Her favorite parT: “Planning a day for us to celebrate our love with family and friends.”
“She was beautiful when I met her but she keeps getting more beautiful both inside and out,” says Kamau.
MIka and Kamau are in a long-distance relationship for now, so their favorite way to communicate is through FaceTime on their iPhones.
“Since we have a long distance relationship right now (he’s in grad school in Philly and I live in Brooklyn) we love trying new restaurants, movies, plays, museums, and of course, brunch is always mandatory,” says Mika.
Second to his heart, Mika says Kamau’s dimples are one of the sexiest things about him.
“Honestly, she always felt like my soul mate, but I fought it hard since I didn’t want to settle down,” says Kamau.
Kamau got Mika a round Neil Lane halo ring.
The couple plan to honeymoon in Costa Rica.
“I’m looking forward to creating a life together and planning for future babies,” says Mika.
