How did you win his heart?
I first noticed David at North Carolina A&T at a NSBE (National Society of Black Engineers) meeting in the fall of 2007. We met on a trip the organization had in Arlington, VA. He was at a party and I noticed him wearing a Baltimore Orioles hat, so I took the hat because I’m from Baltimore. After that, we became friends first.
Megan what was your first impression of David?
My first impression of David was that he was so clean cut. He had on this nice suit, and he was so about his college business; I just loved it.
David, what made you fall in love with Megan?
Megan truly understands my personality and knows how to deal with my flaws. Also, she is the total package; beautiful, intelligent and has a great spirit.
David, were you nervous about proposing?
No. I knew she was ready and would say yes based on different conversations we had in the months prior to me proposing so there wasn’t much pressure.
How did he pop the question?
He wanted to be original, so he decided to incorporate our dogs into the proposal. He put heart shape tags on each dog collar. One tag said “will you” and the other said “marry me.” He waited for me to notice that the dogs had new tags and read them. When I turned around he was already down on one knee.
What was really going through your mind as he proposed?
As David was proposing, I was thinking it was all a joke. I was so excited and in shock.
Fill in the Blank: When we’re (finally!) husband and wife, I can’t wait to _______.
…say “this is my husband David.”
Who would you cast to play your future hubby in a movie?
Fill in the blank: If you’re spying on us on a Friday night, you’ll probably catch us ______.
… out for dinner and drinks after one of David’s games.
Second to his heart, what’s the other sexiest part of his body?
His lips! I love everything about them.
