Kendaya and Covelle met at their kids’ little league games. Although they were there to watch the kids play, they wound up hitting a home run when they feel in love throughout the season.
“He is the best man for me because he thinks about me before he thinks of himself,” says the bride-to-be. “He loves hard and he supports my goals and my madness. Through all of our trials and tribulations he has loved me unconditionally.”
“He is funny, caring, and a great family man,” says Kenyada.
The happy couple dated for three years before Covelle popped the question.
“The night Covelle called and told me that he had been in a shooting in the line of duty, my heart dropped and I could not sleep,” Kenyada recalls. “I waited on him to arrive to my home once he had been debriefed. I realized I care and love him more than I put on. I did not care how many times he relived the incident, I would listen to him no matter what time it was day or night. His well-being was and is very important to me. Through that ordeal I discovered that I didn’t want to be without him and that I want to spend the rest of my life with him.”
“The best vacation we ever took together was to the Hawks Cay resort in Key West, Florida for my 32nd birthday,” Kenyada recalls “It was very romantic and adventurerous!”
“We like to go to dinner we are foodies. We make take in a movie. We are a spare of the moment type people,” the bride-to-be reveals.
“All of our dates are romantic because he is so thoughtful and works hard to carry out his plan and his objective to make me happy,” Kenyada shares.
“I’m most looking forward to having a partner to spend the rest of my life with,” says Covelle.
The couple are planning a modern wedding this summer followed by a honeymoon escape to St. Lucia.
“The perfect person to play my future hubby in a movie is Cedric the Entertainer,” Kenyada says. His sense of humor is one of the qualities she loves most about him.
“I can’t wait to just simply sign my new last name,” says the bride-to-be “He has been like my husband since we decided to take our friendship further.”
