“We’ve really had to work and communicate through the growing pains of a long distance relationship,” says Katryna. “Being long distance made us better communicators.”
Katryna and Jay got engaged in Puerto Rico on a breathtaking beach. Sound like true paradise.
“The most exciting part about being engaged is knowing that I get to spend the rest of my tomorrow’s with Jay.”
Jay plants a small kiss on his bride-to-be Katryna’s forehead.
Katryna admits, “I didn’t like Jay initially. I thought he was a little cocky, and I didn’t like it!” We’re glad he grew on her. These two bring each other such joy.
“Jay and I ran the Peachtree Road Race together. He’s very athletic, but he pushed me and stayed with me the entire 10 kilometers and made sure we finished together.”
Jay nestles up next to Katryna, the woman he plans to spend the rest of his life wife! How sweet?
“He took the time the time to take my Mom to lunch, and meet with my father after work to receive their blessing. That meant a lot to me.”
A lovely shot of the to-be-weds underneath the tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G.
Katryna and Jay live long-distance, she in New York and he in Atlanta, but they’re devoted to making it work.
Jay asked Katryna’s family for permission for her hand in marriage! Now that’s what we call a southern gentleman.
“We choose to stay with one another because there’s no one else that I’d rather be with.”
On Katryna’s 23rd birthday, Jay planned a yacht ride along the river, a trip to the Empire State Building, and an exploration through the city.
A loving moment shared between Katryna and Jay. These two have been inseparable since day one!
Jay eyes his bride-to-be with all the love in the world. He knows he’s got a prize in Katryna!
“It was something about the way he looked at me, and the way his friends talked to me about him.” Katryna says, “I knew he’d be my husband one day.”
“We enjoy time alone. Time alone and together is so rare for us, we can enjoy a night with a movie, cuddle in bed, and be so happy,” Katryna gushes.
“Jay and I enjoy traveling together,” says Katryna. “We like to plan trips and weekend getaways when we can find the time in both our schedules to get away together.”
“After the engagement we called my family and friends. Jay wanted to wait until the following morning to contact his family.”
“My friends and family were surprised that I didn’t cry, because I am such a waterhead,” Katryna tells us about her big proposal moment. “I was so overcome with joy.”
Katryna and Jay share a gentle kiss. We wish them a lifetime of happiness. Congrats!
