The couple will tie the knot on August 2, 2014 in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia. The ceremony will include African-American cultural aspects and a teal, mint, blush pink and gold color scheme. Sounds fantastic!
Kacey and Julian attended college in the same state but they met at a party in their hometown during their winter break. Prior to actually meeting face-to-face, they had both already developed secret Facebook crushed on one another.
Kacey reveals that the couple’s most romantic date yet consisted of surprise tickets to a Kevin Hart comedy show. Good work, Julian!
“Kacey is the most caring, open-hearted and inspiring woman that I’ve ever met,” says Julia of his special lady. “She’s also the most patient. I’m a Gemini and an artist. Trust me, I know more than a little bit about trying a person’s patience. She’s amazing. I could go on all day talking about my bride-to-be.” How sweet!
“I think he chose to marry me because we complement each other in so many ways,” says Kacey. “What one person lacks the other makes up for.”
“I love that my future husband is so supportive,” says Kacey. Sounds like he really is a total keeper.
Kacey says that her first impression of Julian was that he was “absolute eye candy.” She admits that she would stalk his Facebook pictures before they met. (And, we can see why!)
“Protector, provider and an inspiration” are just a few words that Kacey uses to describe her fiancé, whom she affectionately calls JJ.
“My mom loved Julian since the first time she met him, and my dad was honored when he asked for his blessing to propose to me,” says Kacey.
“An all-time classic we love watching together is the film The 40 Year Old Virgin,” says Kacey. “We have the same type of humor, so we love watching comedies together. We quote different sayings from that movie at the most inappropriate times. Ha!”
Kacey reveals the sexiest things about her man is “his brain and the way he thinks.” She adds, “That has always been the sexiest part about him to me. This dude is talented and super smart. I call him my renaissance man!’
“I knew Julian was ‘The One’ when I was going through a really rough patch in my life,” explains Kacey. “He was there for me 100-percent and was sensitive to my needs.”
Kacey says that her favorite part of being engaged is knowing that their next step is marriage and that Julian has made a commitment to his family. “I love calling him my fiance!” she says.
“I had a huge Facebook crush on Kacey before we ever met,” says Julian. “We had mutual friends so I knew it was only a matter of time before I saw her in person. It was love at first sight, and once we started spending time together, I knew that was it for me!”
Kacey is looking forward to sharing Julian’s last name and officially becoming a family.
What made Kacey stand out from other girls to Julian? “Beside being flat-out gorgeous, she had an amazing personality,” he tell us. “She was funny, super confident, supportive and very driven.”
“Zoe McKenzie is our 3-year old daughter and the center of our lives,” says Julian. “As a family we do everything together. It doesnt get any better than going to the movies, out to dinner and shopping with my girls. I’m a lucky guy!”
“Julian is the best man for me because he is the ying to my yang,” says Kacey. “We are different in many ways but we are able to give each other a different perspective on things that we may be going through. He is handsome, highly motivated and the most amazing father to our daughter Zoe. All the things I could’ve ever dreamed of in a man.”
“When we’re finally husband and wife, I can’t wait to build an empire together,” says Kacey. “Watch out world!”
“I was raised by my grandparents and they demonstrated what love and marriage is all about for me,” says Julian. “I cant wait to experience every stage of marriage with my wife; the good and the bad. I’m also looking forward to being able to model that for my kids.”
“He always tells me that he knew that I would be his wife one day,” says Kacey. “He was really adamant about that since day one. His friends would say things like, ‘There goes your wife!’ And, that was long before we started dating. Talk about speaking things into existence!”
“She was the first person that I ever met that was ambitious, independent and fun all at the same time,” says Julian. “We did everything together, and we really built our relationship on top of an amazingly strong friendship, one brick at a time.”
Kacey says that Laz Alonzo would be her man’s movie double. “They have similar features and I think he could pull off Julian’s personality,” she says.
The best gift that Julian ever got kacey? “My engagement ring hands down,” she shares. “From the design of it to what it symbolizes. When he proposed to me he also bought our daughter Zoe a ring too, so I think that was really the icing on the cake.”

The couple plans to head to a mediterranean oasis for their honeymoon. “We really want to honeymoon in Greece,” says Kacey. “Something about that place is so breathtaking.
