“I knew Jareem was the one way before I was even prepared to admit that he was,” says Jenise. “I was experiencing love and a connection like I’ve never felt before and it just felt comfortable discussing my future with Jareem as if I already intended on him being in it for the long haul.”
“Our relationship was never forced, it just happened organically,” says Jenise.
Jenise and Jareem say that although their relationship took off very slowly in the beginning, it revved up fast, ending in the proposal of a lifetime!
Why can’t she stop talking about her dream proposal? “There were so many elements that made the proposal special,” says Jenise. “Jareem incorporated things that he knew I really wanted and would like.”
“The most exciting part about being engaged is looking forward to a bright future with the man that I know God designed for me to marry and the simple fact that I get to spend the rest of my life with a soul mate that cherishes me and continues to strive to make me the happiest woman alive,” says Jenise.
When Jenise arrived at Jareem’s house on the night of her 24th birthday, there were a personal chef and a gourmet four-course meal was waiting!
“Pieces just started to fall into place and no matter how much I tried to syke myself out and tell myself I wasn’t ready yet, it was undeniable that God was revealing to me that Jareem was the man I would marry,” says Jenise.

The couple bonded with each others’ parents over the holidays, meeting the family and sealing the deal!
After Jareem proposed to Jenise at a romantic beach house, the surprises didn’t end there. He brought her friend, whom she hadn’t seen in two years, to be there at the engagement party, along with her closest friends and family!
“Immediately after he proposed Jareem projected a video on the wall of the living room that he created in honor of us,” Jenisha explains. “It was so nicely done and was a great way to recap what has led up to this point and hear everyone’s sweet words about us.”

Jenise and Jareem love being together no matter what they’re doing – going to church, going to live music and comedy shows, and just making each other laugh!
