Myles was dispatched to the scene of Jasmine’s highway accident and saved the day and won her heart. In honor of their upcoming Carmen Jones’ themed wedding day, the couple chose to introduce the 1950’s movie theme with these gorgeous engagement photos.
“Myles is very compassionate,” says Jasmine. “You might not get this about him on your first look, but he has touched me time after time by the depth of his caring for others.”
“Myles has been extremely supportive of me completing my degree,” says Jasmine. “While very rewarding, this process has been challenging, and Myles has always been there when I needed him.”
“I love that Jasmine is hardworking and determined, caring, genuine, beautiful, intelligent, and always willing to help,” says Myles. “I am truly blessed to have her as my helpmate.”
“In addition to his confidence in himself and his ability to guide and protect me, I love Myles’ sense of humor,” says Jasmine. Sounds like she’s found herself one amazing man to spend forever after with.
“When I met Myles, I immediately noticed how sweet and caring he was,” says Jasmine, who remembers how insistent Myles was that she take his number at the scene of the accident where they met because he never wanted her to feel stranded again. “He genuinely wanted to share of himself, provide, and protect.”
Judging from how committed the happy couple were to their Carmen Jones’ themed engagement shoot, we can’t wait to see how their wedding day details turn out. We just love the addition of the Pan Am logo to their photos.
Jasmine’s 50s-era striped trench coat = perfection!
“When I saw Jasmine in those purple pants the first time we met, I knew she was ‘the one’,” says Myles, although Jasmine jokingly tells us that she remembers her shoes, not pants, being purple. “Any woman with the courage to wear purple pants and make them look that good… I just had to know. It also doesn’t hurt that she’s caring, concerned, and always has my best interests at heart.”
Myles’ devotion to Jasmine’s family, she says, is what really sealed the deal for her. " I am very close with, and protective of, my family," she says. “So, when I saw how much he respected how I feel about them, and how he, in turn, cared for them as well, I knew that I had found my special one.”
Jasmine and Myles steal a big-screen-worthy kiss for the cameras.
One of the most beautiful things about finding true love, is recognizing that sometimes it’s the little things you have in common that really make you giggle. For Myles and Jasmine, that thing is watching cartoons. “We both love to watch them,” Jasmine admits. “Whatever the types, we love to watch them together.”
Jasmine’s in love with her family of four, which in addition to her fiance Myles, includes two dogs; a Yorkie names Max, and a Shih Tzu named King.
