“We met after the 2009 NFL season once Chris returned to Connecticut,” Jamila recalls. “On our first date, he constantly told me how beautiful I looked and he enjoyed the way we instantly connected. Later on during the date, he told me I would one day become his wife. He knew exactly what he wanted!”
“Chris sent me flowers every day for a week when we first started dating,” says Jamila. “Each day I was surprised at home or work with long stem red roses, tulips and peonies.”
“Chris and I enjoy spending time with family and friends and trying new restaurants,” says Jamila. “Chris is an amazing cook and enjoys creating new dishes for me to try. Occasionally, we head to Washington, D.C. for a night on the town.”
“Chris has a huge heart and always wants to put a smile on my face,” Jamila shares.
“I would have to say the best gift Chris ever gave me is my engagement ring,” says the bride-to-be. “He worked with a designer to create the ring. I love it and it’s a one-of-a-kind princess halo diamond that is surrounded by diamonds.”
“My parents love Chris and they are thrilled to add another son to the family,” says Jamila. “They adore how he treats me like his queen and is always by my side.”
“Chris is kind and patient with me,” says Jamila. “He loves me for who I am and brings out the best in me. Chris is very supportive of all my dreams and aspirations. He is the perfect man for me. He is always by my side and we share the same values and beliefs. He makes me feel like the prettiest woman on earth.”
“Our colors are blush pink and rose gold,” says Jamila. “The style of the wedding is romantic and elegant with a touch of glitz and glam.”
“I’m looking forward to being able to call Chris my husband,” Jamila admits. “I can’t wait to build our home together with love and create new memories.”
“I love that she is beautiful, both inside and out,” says Chris. “She goes above and beyond to make sure I am happy. Jamila is intelligent, God-fearing, highly organized, genuine and extremely supportive of my career and dreams.”
“Where do I start? Jamila is very attentive and when we first started dating, I noticed early on how caring and loving she is,” admits Chris. “She always stuck by my side through the good times and the bad. I remember when I hit a low point in my career and was without a job, Jamila was right there supporting me, encouraging me and praying with me. I said she’s the one. I love her!
“On our first date, I told her she would one day become my wife,” says Chris. “It is amazing how you just know when it’s right.”
“I am looking forward to starting our family, traveling the world and just living life with my beautiful wife,” says Chris.
