“When we met and I saw just how she took care of everyone, I saw that her heart was even more beautiful then she is and that is what I love about her,” says handsome groom-to-be Emem of his future bride Erica. This D.C. couple is the absolute cutest!
“My friends all love how he takes care of me and is a fun and cool person to be around,” says Erica.
“I was actually on a date with someone else the first week we met and I told Em I was going out with someone else and clearly we were not exclusive,” Erica recalls. “He called my phone every hour I was on the date to interrupt!”
“Em said when he first saw me that he had to have me,” says Erica. And, it looks like Em got his girl!
“My parents love him and the way we interact,” says Erica. “They welcome him into the family with open arms.”
“He brings out the best in me, supports me in everything, but most importantly loves me for who God created me to be,” says Erica.
Erica and Em enjoy lots of things together, such as working out, shopping, going out to eat, hanging out with friends and going to church.
“He gave me the perfect ring,” says Erica. “It has a solid stone in the middle with a bezeled accent around the stone.”
“I think he chose to me because he never felt love like we have for each other,” Erica tells us.
“When we’re finally husband and wife, I can’t wait to start saving all of our money,” says Erica. Smart lady!
“Erica is just a great person to be around,” says Emem. “She’s fun-loving and I really love being around her.”
“My favorite thing to do with Erica is to lay in the bed talking with no plans to go anywhere,” says Emem.
Emem says he’s most looking forward to sharing a home with Erica.
The happy couple are planning to tie the knot this October. “We’re having a modern wedding with a computer love theme,” says the bride-to-be. “Our colors are gray and navy blue. We also honor his Nigerian culture with an outfit change and special dance.”
“My favorite part of being engaged is seeing people’s reactions when they see my ring,” says the blushing bride-to-be.
